Ear Correction

Harmonious ear shape through precise correction of protruding ears.

Ear Correction

Some people suffer from congenital protruding ears, which can lead to psychological stress. For this reason, many consider having an ear correction performed. These procedures are often performed already in adolescence, but are also increasingly popular among adults, as they are short and pain-free.

Dr. Caspari has extensive experience in ear pinning in Munich. During the operation, an incision is made behind the auricle to reshape the cartilage and pin the auricle. If you decide on ear pinning in Munich, you can rely on the result being permanent. In addition, the scars remain hidden behind the ear through this technique and are thus not visible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find answers to the most important questions about ear correction

It is important that you should refrain from blood-thinning medications such as aspirin about 4 weeks before the planned surgery date. Alcohol and nicotine consumption should also be reduced during this time to support your health. Don't forget to obtain the prescribed medications in advance.
An ear correction can usually be performed under local anesthesia. However, for particularly anxious patients, general anesthesia may also be recommended.
An ear correction usually takes about 1.5-2 hours.
After the procedure, you should stay in our practice for observation for about one to two hours. You can then be picked up by an accompanying person.
After the operation, a protective bandage is applied. This must be worn around the clock in the first few days and then only at night. Quick, jerky movements and physical exertion should be avoided in the first weeks. Sports activities are possible again after 4 to 6 weeks.
After the swelling subsides, the final result is usually visible after about 4-6 weeks. Cartilage healing is very slow, completion of the healing process is only expected after six to eight months.
Usually you are socially acceptable again after about 7-10 days and able to work after one week. The exact recovery time can vary depending on individual healing progress.
