What is a Bullhorn Lift or CUPID Lip Lift?
The Bullhorn Lift, also known as CUPID Lip Lift, is a modern aesthetic surgical procedure for shortening the philtrum – the distance between the nose and upper lip. The aesthetically ideal philtrum length is about 1 to 1.5 centimeters.
With lip lifting, this distance is specifically reduced. This lifts the Cupid's bow and upper lip, making the upper lip appear fuller, more defined and more youthful – without the artificial "overfilled" effect.
Unlike hyaluronic acid treatments, the Bullhorn Lift offers a long-lasting, permanent result without regular follow-up treatments.
Why is the procedure called Bullhorn Lift?
The incision is made directly below the nose in a curved shape reminiscent of a bull's horn (bullhorn). The CUPID Lip Lift is an advanced technique where the design of the incision and the emphasis on the Cupid's bow are aesthetically optimized.

Process of a Bullhorn or CUPID Lip Lift
During the Bullhorn Lift, a narrow strip of skin is removed directly below the nose. Through precise suturing of the wound edges, the upper lip is gently lifted upward.
