Natural body contouring with your own fat for long-lasting results.
Liposculpture, or autologous fat transfer, offers many advantages: It uses the body's own fat, which minimizes the risk of foreign body rejection and represents a natural, long-lasting solution. After proper preparation, about 50 to 80 percent of the transplanted fat remains after one year.
The method is excellently suited for facial rejuvenation, particularly for filling deep wrinkles and dark circles, as well as for breast augmentation and scar elevation. However, the amount of transplantable fat is limited, as the tissue must grow in, which also depends on individual anatomical conditions.
The autologous fat transfer procedure begins with the extraction of vital fatty tissue from one or more suitable body areas. This is usually done through a small incision of about 1 cm. The extracted fat is processed in a closed system and then transplanted into the desired recipient areas, for which another approximately 5 mm long incision at an inconspicuous location is necessary.
For the procedure, it is recommended to choose a short, light sedation anesthesia to provide patients with a pleasant experience. Alternatively, local and tumescent anesthesia are also possible.
After liposculpture, postoperative pain is usually minimal, but small bruises may occur. For breast procedures, it is advisable to wear a bandage or special bra in the first days to immobilize the tissue. After about four to six weeks, the fat is completely healed, and until then, strenuous activities such as sports or sauna visits should be avoided.
