Nose Correction Munich

Aesthetic and functional nose correction (rhinoplasty) at the clinic of Dr. med. Peter Caspari – individual consultation, gentle technique, natural results.

Nose Correction – Rhinoplasty in Munich

A nose correction, also known as rhinoplasty, is a surgical procedure that can improve both the aesthetic appearance of the nose and its functionality. Many people opt for this procedure to reduce, enlarge, straighten their nose, or change the shape of the nose tip. In addition, a nose correction can also have medical indications, such as correcting breathing problems caused by a deviated nasal septum or other structural anomalies.

Dr. med. Peter Caspari has many years of experience in nasal surgery. At our clinic in Munich, we work very individually and specifically address each patient's concerns. Our goal is to harmoniously integrate the nose into the existing facial structures and optimize the overall facial expression.

Our Rhinoplasty Techniques

At our clinic, we offer the full spectrum of nasal surgery. The choice of technique always depends on the individual starting situation and the patient's wishes.

Open Rhinoplasty

With the open technique, a small incision is made at the columella, providing optimal access to the internal nasal structures. This method is particularly suitable for complex corrections.

Closed Rhinoplasty

With the closed technique, all incisions are made inside the nose, so no externally visible scars are created. This method is preferred for less extensive corrections.

Septorhinoplasty

The combination of aesthetic nose correction and septum straightening. This way, form and function can be improved in a single procedure.

Nasal Tip Correction

A targeted correction of the nasal tip – whether reduction, elevation, or narrowing – for a harmonious nasal profile.

Hump Removal

The removal of a nasal hump creates a smooth, straight nasal profile and is one of the most common reasons for rhinoplasty.

Nose Reduction & Enlargement

Whether the nose appears too large or too small overall – targeted surgical techniques can adjust the proportion of the nose to achieve facial harmony.

Functional Nose Correction – Septum Surgery & Nasal Breathing

In addition to aesthetic changes, we also perform functional nose corrections, for example for a deviated nasal septum (septum deviation) or chronic breathing obstruction. At our clinic, we always combine functional and aesthetic procedures, so patients receive both improved nasal breathing and a harmonious external appearance in a single operation.

This combined approach has the advantage that only one anesthesia and one healing phase are required. The results of a functional nose correction – such as freer nasal breathing and improved sleep – are often noticeable just a few weeks after surgery.

Process – From Initial Consultation to Surgery

Personal Consultation

During the detailed initial consultation, Dr. Caspari will discuss the goals of the nose correction and determine the appropriate surgical method. We deliberately advise you WITHOUT virtual computer simulation, as we know from clear experience that these cannot realistically represent the actual anatomical conditions and thus create misleading expectations. Instead, we show you after-photos of comparable procedures and explain each step of the surgery in detail, so you can understand exactly what will be done.

Surgical Preparation

For safe execution, you need surgical clearance consisting of laboratory diagnostics and an ECG. You can have these done at your family doctor or directly at our clinic. A pre-operative consultation with the anesthesiologist also takes place beforehand.

The Procedure

The nose correction is always performed under general anesthesia. The duration of the surgery ranges from 45 minutes to 2.5 hours depending on the scope of the procedure.

After Surgery

After the operation, patients can be cared for as inpatients at our clinic. Outpatient care is also possible, but for medical safety reasons, we offer inpatient monitoring to immediately detect and treat any postoperative complications.

Revision Rhinoplasty (Secondary Rhinoplasty)

Many patients come to us because they are not satisfied with the result of a previous nose surgery. Dr. Caspari has extensive experience in revision rhinoplasty – the correction after an earlier, unsatisfactory nose operation.

A secondary rhinoplasty places special demands on the surgeon, as the tissue has already been surgically altered and the anatomical conditions are more complex. This is precisely where Dr. Caspari's individual approach and years of expertise pay off.

Risks & Safety

As with any surgical procedure, general surgical risks such as bleeding, infections, and wound healing disorders exist with rhinoplasty. We minimize these risks through the use of blood-reducing medications, particularly gentle surgical techniques, and the ability to work on bone using radiofrequency.

To detect and treat postoperative complications early, we monitor our patients at our clinic after surgery. This careful aftercare is an essential part of our safety concept.

Cost of Rhinoplasty in Munich

The costs of a nose correction depend on the individual surgical effort. A nasal tip correction starts from €3,950. For a comprehensive change of the entire nose, costs are approximately €12,000. You will receive a detailed cost estimate after your personal consultation with Dr. Caspari.

Why Choose Dr. Caspari for Your Rhinoplasty?

  • Many years of experience in nasal surgery

  • Individual, patient-tailored approach

  • Honest consultation without misleading computer simulations

  • Wide range of surgical techniques (open, closed, functional)

  • Special expertise in revision rhinoplasty

  • Inpatient care option for maximum safety

  • Clear education with photos

After surgery, it is normal to expect swelling and bruising, which usually subside within one to two weeks. The final results are often only visible after several months, as the nose needs a lot of time to settle and the swelling must completely subside. A final assessment of the nose correction is only made after one year.

It is important to have realistic expectations about the results and to be aware that every nose is unique.

Frequently Asked Questions About Rhinoplasty

Here you will find answers to the most important questions about nose correction in Munich

A nose correction (rhinoplasty) is the surgical reshaping of the nose. The goal is to harmoniously integrate the nose into the patient's facial structures and harmonize the overall facial expression – both aesthetically and functionally.
We offer the full spectrum of nasal surgery: open and closed rhinoplasty, septorhinoplasty, nasal tip correction, hump removal, as well as nose reduction and enlargement. The choice of technique depends on the individual starting situation.
Yes. We always combine functional and aesthetic procedures. For example, a deviated nasal septum (septum deviation) can be corrected in the same operation, improving both nasal breathing and appearance.
After a detailed consultation with Dr. Caspari, where the goal and surgical method are determined, surgical clearance (lab work and ECG) and a consultation with the anesthesiologist take place. The operation is performed under general anesthesia and lasts between 45 minutes and 2.5 hours depending on scope. Patients can then be monitored as inpatients at our clinic.
The healing process is generally pain-free. Swelling and bruising in the area of both lower eyelids occur, caused by work on the bony nasal framework. A nasal splint is worn for about ten days and then removed at our clinic. After that, most patients are socially presentable again.
The first results are visible directly after the removal of the nasal splint. However, the nose often remains swollen for a longer time. The final result can only be assessed after about 12 months, as the nose needs a lot of time to settle.

As with any surgical procedure, general risks such as bleeding, infections, and wound healing disorders exist. We minimize these through blood-reducing medications, gentle surgical techniques, bone work with radiofrequency, and inpatient monitoring after surgery.
We have the clear understanding that computer simulations of the nose cannot realistically represent the actual anatomical conditions. Any such representation is potentially misleading. We deliberately forgo them to protect our patients. Instead, we show after-photos of comparable procedures and explain each surgical step in detail.
