Natural skin rejuvenation using your body's own growth factors at Dr. Caspari Clinic.

Autologous Blood Treatment PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)

The procedure of autologous blood therapy, also known as PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy, is an interesting and innovative method for improving skin structure and elasticity. By using activated platelets and growth factors from one's own blood, cells can be repaired and collagen production can be stimulated.

For the treatment of facial wrinkles, blood is drawn and then centrifuged to obtain the plasma with the platelets. After processing, a gel is created that is injected into the skin to treat both fine lines and larger skin areas. The first results are often immediately visible, while the full effect occurs in the following weeks.

A major advantage of this method is that it is biologically safe since the plasma used comes from one's own body. This makes it particularly suitable for people with allergies or intolerances to other treatments. The therapy is generally well tolerated, and no significant side effects or allergies are expected.

However, it is important to note that a follow-up treatment after about six months is recommended to maintain the results.

Frequently Asked Questions about PRP Treatment

Here you will find answers to the most important questions about PRP autologous blood treatment.

To avoid bruising, blood-thinning medications such as aspirin should be avoided about two weeks before the scheduled appointment. Consumption of alcohol and nicotine should also be reduced during this time. On the day of treatment, ensure adequate fluid intake so that enough blood can be drawn.
Before the treatment, a special numbing cream is applied to the skin for about twenty minutes. You should plan about 1 to 1.5 hours for the treatment.
After the treatment, you should avoid sports for 24 hours.
After a few days, you can already notice first results in the treated area. The biological process of plasma therapy (PRP) takes about three to four weeks. For optimal results, we recommend multiple treatments at regular intervals.
After the treatment, the patient can resume social activities once the swelling subsides, which is usually the day after the treatment.
